Professional Journey

With over 25 years in education and 19 years as a principal, I have led schools through growth in both academics and the arts. My career began as a classroom teacher and math coach at PS 33, followed by leadership roles as assistant principal at PS 209 and principal of MS 308/Bronx Dance Academy. Since 2010, I have proudly served as principal of PS 91X, a performing arts elementary school in the Bronx.

Signature Accomplishment: Performing Arts Program 🎭

Under my leadership, PS 91X has developed a strong and unique performing arts program that defines our school’s identity. Partnering with organizations such as Disney Musicals in Schools, Rosie’s Theater Kids, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Young People’s Chorus, our students gain not only performance skills but also confidence, teamwork, and a love of the arts that carries into all aspects of their learning.

Personal Connection

Before entering education, I was a professional singer, touring with Vanessa Williams and recording jingles. This background fuels my passion for arts integration and continues to inspire my leadership. Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to two sons, Max and Noah, and the longtime companion to our rescue dog, Angel.

Future Commitment

I remain dedicated to advancing teacher practice, expanding community partnerships, and sustaining our performing arts program as a model for public education. My unwavering goal is to ensure every child at PS 91X leaves with knowledge, creativity, and confidence in their potential.
